The foundation is seeking a part-time development assistant to perform administrative work that sustains foundation operations. Experience in fund raising activities, use of social media, event coordination and working with non-profit organizations is required. Please join the Lassen Park Foundation for an open house and introduction of our new Executive Director Martha McCoy. The event will be Thursday, January 12, 2012, from 5 pm to 7pm,  at 1699 Highway 273, Anderson, California.

The Lassen Park Foundation is pleased to annouce that Martha M. McCoy has been appointed Executive Director of the Lassen Park Foundation by its board of directors.

 
The Redding resident assumes responsibility for administering the Foundation’s fund-raising efforts, which include rehabilitating the Lassen Peak Trail, expanding Youth Camping opportunities for at-risk youth, assisting the National Park Service in funding development of youth group facilities at Crags Campground and seeking public support to underwrite preservation of Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day and meet Lassen Park Foundation board members on September 24, 2011, at the “Art and Wine of Lassen” event at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. Artists, authors and several wineries and a microbrewery will be featured at the Visitor Center from 11am to 5pm. There will be a Native American exhibit and demonstration and music during the day. Entry to Lassen Volcanic National Park is free on September 24, in recognition of National Public Lands Day. See you there!
