John Poimiroo

John Poimiroo has had a long and varied career in travel and tourism marketing communications.  Previously, he held the positions of Vice President of Communications for the concessioner at Yosemite National Park and California state tourism director.  John owns an El Dorado Hills marketing communications consultancy that supports numerous destinations including Redding and visitor services at or surrounding Lassen Volcanic National Park, Redwood National Park, Yosemite National Park and Death Valley National Park. Additionally, he serves as interim Executive Director of the National Parks Promotion Council and is a member of the California Roundtable on Recreation, Parks and Tourism, the Outdoor Writers Association of California and the Society of American Travel Writers.
